EPFO settles COVID claims worth Rs 750 cr in 24 hrs New Delhi, Oct 20 (KNN) Union Labour and Employment Minister Santosh Ganwar has honoured staff and officers of West Delhi EPFO Office for exemplary work of settling COVID claims of nearly 750 crore for 3.25 lakh applicants within 24 hours.
Speaking on the occasion, Gangwar on Monday informed that 100 percent of Covid-19 applications/claims have been settled within 24 hours during the last 175 days.
Working beyond call of duty, they disbursed about Rs 750 crore to about 3.25 lakh EPFO Subscribers, an official statement said.
Gangwar also informed that Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) also settled 90 per cent of other claims within 24 Hours as against an EPFO Charters Mandate of three Days.
Lauding the work of EPFO, the Minister called for EPFO emulating transparency and efficiency models in its other offices across India.
He said that though even normal work was difficult, EPFO officers and staff on an overall basis have settled more than 44 Lakh COVID Advance Claims up to 15th October Disbursing over Rs 11,500 crore, which was highly challenging during the COVID -19 Pandemic and the lockdown announced to curb spread of the pandemic.
Mondays felicitation was a part of an initiative launched by the Minister to honour the outstanding performer’s offices under his Ministry like EPFO, ESIC, DG FASLI, DG Mines.
